Ritsu's tracks usually involve rhythmic back-and-forward between bass and drums. Often the down d-pad button acts as the bass drum, while the triangle button acts as the high-hat.
The game is comprised of 19 tunes, and includes most original songs released during the animated series' first season. The buttons to press are displayed on a music staff that runs across the screen, and the player should press them when a moving cursor reaches their icon.
